Kilravock Stories
22nd July – 25th September 2026
Marvel at the incredible stories from the Clan Rose and Kilravock Castle in this new exhibition. We look at the people and places that made Kilravock a vital stronghold for power in the North of Scotland.
It features a high-stakes Medieval divorce, a daring butter-based escape and letters from Scottish royalty. History is brought to life through beautiful illustrations by Emily Schieve.

Celebrating Nairn Museum’s beautiful herbaria from 200 years past, examining local flowers and their connection to our culture. How did the fairies of Nairn’s hillocks and beaches change the shape of our environment? What plants are mentioned for spells in Highland witchcraft confessions? What can the Gaelic alphabet teach us about trees?

VE Day: 80 Years
1st May 2025 – 30th June 2025
Step back in time and explore the remarkable events that led to the end of the Second World War in Europe. Our new exhibition commemorates the 80th anniversary of VE Day, charting the course of WWII through a striking visual timeline and sharing personal stories from Nairn’s community who served, on the front lines and at home, and experiences from those who remember VE Day.
