Who are we?
Nairn museum is an independent museum managed by board of directors, run by approximately 35 volunteers supported by a single, part-time member of staff.
Ultimately, our museum is kept open thanks to the local community who give their time.
Our Volunteers
The support of our enthusiastic and generous volunteers brings Nairn Museum to life. They take part in every aspect of running the museum, including welcoming visitors, helping with family history queries from around the world, fundraising, social media, cataloguing our collections, supporting with preservation activity, research, helping with DIY jobs and serving on the board.
