Overture to Curtain Call - The History of the Nairn Performing Arts Guild
Come along to our exhibition on the History of the Nairn Performing Arts Guild. The exhibition will run from Tuesday 1st September.
The exhibition will be introduced on Monday 31st August at 2 p.m. in the Museum with a talk by Gordon McIntyre on the Nairn Performing Arts Guild which he and his late wife Muriel ran for many years.

A Night at the Museum
A ‘Son et Lumiere’ event in front of Viewfield House with commentary by local historian, Alan Barron. This will take place on Wednesday 2nd September from 8.30pm with music by Accordion Too. This event is in conjunction with Nairn Book and Arts Festival. There will be a licensed bar and refreshments available

The Great Big Fat Afternoon Tea Party!
The Great Big Fat Afternoon Tea Party at Nairn Community & Arts Centre is on Thursday 10th September. Entry fee is £5.00. There will be two sittttings 3.00 – 4.00 and 4.15 – 5.15.
Booking is essential & can be done through the Community Centre. Please phone 453476 to make your booking.
Music provided by The Prosecco Wind Quintet and Accordion Too. All proceeds to Nairn Museum and the Nairn Hydrotherapy Pool

New Exhibit: James Brooman's Waterloo Medal (1815)

Wellington's Waterloo medal was the first medal issued to all British soldiers present at the battle of Waterloo and the actions at Quatre Bras and Ligny two days before.

Trenches & Drifters: Nairnshire and the Great War
An event held as part of the Nairn Museum 'Festival of Museums Weekend'  between the 15th and 17th of May.

As part of the event, Gordon Taylor (Outlanders) will take on the role of a local young man caught up in the events of 1914-18 and tell his story, Friday and Saturday, 11am and 2 pm.

Nairn's Fossil Collection
The museum will re-open this Spring with an extensive exhibition of our fossil collection. Also on display will a couple of surprises !

The exhibition opens on March 30th.
